Nom Foods - what looked like a successful business has turned out to be a Zombie shell which sold its assets 2 years ago and is now closing.

The Nom Brand for what it's worth continues but investors have lost all of their £142,000 that they invested in this start up. The detail on the Crowdcube pitch was lacking but who is surprised at that.

Nom funded on Crowdcube in 2015. By 2018 the business was in serious trouble and unable to continue. It sold its brand to GFT Retail and maintained a presence whilst the founder sorted out the remaining debts. Where the £142,000 went we will never know. In terms of launching a new brand it is not a lot of cash - one of the issues poorly thought through start ups face.
